Kratos is such a bad guy that often I didn't enjoy playing him. 1 instance, killing Poseidon-he BEGS for mercy & then, while seeing Kratos from Poseidon's perspective, you gouge out his eyes (L3+R3 QTE lol). It was sort of cool but the violence didn't match the situation.

Happy Thanksgiving! I need to wrap up The Autumn of 3s! The next hack & slash that bookends a trilogy is God of War 3 & boy do I have opinions! This is my first GoW game so I really didnt know what to expect. After a story recap of 1 & 2, I was STILL unprepared for this game 🧵/6

There is also a moment where you are "forced" to sleep with Aphrodite as two nude hangers-on watch and make comments, all while you perform QTEs.

All of my complaints about this game are in regards to the narrative, characters, etc. The core gameplay is great.

It's clear to see that the GoW series was as influential to the Hack & Slash genre as, say, Devil May Cry, as it absolutely perfected the "small guy fighting giant monsters" thing. And to be clear this is about the series, not just 3. Bayo certainly looked to these for inspo.

1 positive for the story it has the best flashlight from any game. After beating the god Helios you tear his head off then HOOK IT TO YOUR BELT. Whenever you need to see in the dark you pull out this screaming head thats shooting light out of its eyes. It's very good.

Lastly, I just cannot understand how we go from Kratos brutally killing the entire Parthenon to Dad of the Decade. I'm going to play GoW 2018 to find out, but until then I need to take some time off from this scumbag. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, if you celebrate!
